One-on-One Illustration Mentoring: Jumpstart Session

Kickstart your creative journey with a focused one-on-one mentoring session designed to set you on the path to success. During our Face-to-Face Zoom Session, we’ll explore what’s working for you and identify areas for improvement. Together, we’ll discuss your goals and outline actionable steps to help you reach them. To ensure you’re on track, we’ll schedule a Half-Hour Follow-Up Call 1-2 weeks later, where we can finalise your plans, make any necessary adjustments, and tackle any challenges that may arise. This session is your opportunity to gain clarity and motivation as you take the next steps in your illustration journey!

One-on-One Illustration Mentoring: Growth Package (3 Sessions)
This structured approach to achieving your illustration goals includes three one-on-one mentoring sessions. In our first session, we will identify your objectives and outline actionable steps to guide you on your journey. The second and third sessions will focus on providing feedback and personalised guidance as we review your progress, celebrate your successes, and tackle any challenges you may encounter. By the end of each session, you'll walk away with clear action steps and a tailored plan to keep you moving forward on your creative path.

One-on-One Illustration Mentoring: Project Development Support:
Bring your picture book project to life with dedicated support tailored to your specific needs. Whether you’re preparing to submit to a publisher or exploring self-publishing, this package offers up to 12 catch-ups with ongoing feedback, ensuring you remain motivated and on track throughout your creative process.

• Picture Book for a Publisher: Gain extra support, feedback, and motivation for a project that may take 3-6 months. We’ll clarify the client or author’s needs, establish the project brief, and set deadlines to help you navigate your project with clarity, confidence, and a foolproof plan for smooth execution.

• Self-Publishing Guidance: If you’re illustrating and writing your own picture book, receive essential guidance with character development, storyboarding, and invaluable feedback on your final artwork to ensure your vision is fully realised.

• First-Time Illustration Support: If you’re illustrating your very first picture book and feel uncertain about the process, I’ll be here to guide you through each stage, providing insights and reassurance as you develop your unique style.

With over two decades of experience in the illustration industry, I have had the privilege of teaching more than 64,000 students worldwide. Sharing my knowledge and experience with aspiring illustrators is my passion.

In 2000, I was honoured to receive the CBCA (Children’s Book Council of Australia) Notable Book Award, marking the beginning of my picture book journey that has led to the publication of over a dozen picture books worldwide. Notable titles include Boom Bah! (Phil Cummings), No More Kisses (Margaret Wild), Good Dog Hank, Dinosaurs Love Cheese (Jackie French), and Pooka (Carol Chattaway), the latter winning the YABBA Award in 2013.
